Type winver in the search, then run the program.

From this winver you can see the current version of Windows and OS build on the operating system. It's easy enough to check the Windows version on your computer.

In this DXdiag or DirectX diagnostic tool you can see what type of OS you are using whether x64 or x86 as well as information about the operating system build as well. But in this DXDiaag version does not display the operating system.
